A Very Old CTTS|
For some reason Zara and I were laughing at this just the other day.
Zara (at age 8): What does 'inexplicable' mean?
Me: Can't be explained.
Zara: Well, try.

Cute Things They Say. Usually "they" refers to one's children. There are CTTD, too.
I'm reminded of the old Second City TV parody: "Women Say the Darndest Things!"

It is a good one :-).
That's funny and too cute!
Here's an old CTTS of ours--when my daughter was about three or four, she would run through the house with a towel around her neck, yelling, "Zoom, zoom," like she was flying and ever so often stop and order her little stuffed dog to do some thing. When we asked her who she was, she said, "I'm Super-visor." I have no idea why. I'm pretty sure my husband and I broke something trying to hold in the laughter.

Bwahahaha! That is sooooo funny. How old is she now?
*beams* 21 now, and still cracking me up! She refuses to believe she was the Supervisor, though. :)

LOL! Well, I believe you.
When my neice (who just started college) was around 8, the family took the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria. My brother-in-law pulled out a pack of cards and got her involved in solitaire. The computer-era little girl was amazed!
"I didn't know you could play this with cards, too!!!!"

My Doran was surprised at the same thing, and when much older.
In a similar (but more embarrassing to the parent) vein, when Kendra was 3 or 4 and loved to play with toy domestic items, including an iron and ironing board, she saw me ironing a blouse (rare event, clearly) and said, in amazement "You have one, too!?!"
It also reminds me of when my eldest niece was four or so and my brother (her father) did a "when I was your age" bit, saying "When I was your age we didn't have VCRs."
She replied, "What did you watch your tapes on?"
