Re: on the topic of reading...

I'm glad you like them enough to reread from the start! Please comment if you feel moved to, and let me know if there are broken links, etc. They somehow creep in...

I'll do a RL update soon. I'm surviving.

I know a few Beths. Which one are you?

Re: on the topic of reading...

I'm a new one. from British Columbia. :)
done the references for "I Know.." and "We're Not..." (well, I read summaries/extracts for the plays and the Dialogue, but did read all the actual poems, including a fairly substantial web-excerpt for the fingers poem, nnngghgh...) and am most of the way thru the two stories, very satisfying to have all the ref.s fresh in my mind as I read.
roasting squash for poshy pumpkin soup for our (early/Canadian) T-day next week. cheers!

Re: on the topic of reading...

Aha! I've never been to BC, but I'm from Winnipeg originally - hence the CanCon in the stories. Well, there would be some anyway, since Logan's Canadian, but I probably write more of it because of my Canadian ties. I went to university in Montreal (McGill), so I set some scenes there, too. I do lots of research when I'm writing about places I've never been, but when it's places I know, it's easier.

I first read that Sandburg poem in high school. The teacher said that she *thought* it was based on a real incident and then one of the kids in the class, whose mother had been in the Norwegian Underground in WW2 said she *knew* it was because her mother had known The Man With the Broken Fingers.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!
