The Rosenberg Hypothesis says simply that words are imbued with meaning that they’ve acquired as they develop and metamorphosize in their travels through different languages, both extant and extinct, and that that meaning interacts with cognition in a metasyntactical, subliminal and effervescent manner both affecting and effecting change in the synaptic connections and cultural referents that in turn impart understanding of the inherent and relative value of the items in question.
I'm going to quote that line to my Critical Thinking students on Monday. We're discussing literary criticism and that would give me a great excuse to segue into throwing this at them and watching their faces melt from the sheer lack of comprehension. :)

Glad you liked it. When I said that part at the debate, someone said "I used to have that bumper sticker" which, I thought, was pretty funny.
