Of course some of the students at Hogwarts have sex... Some of them are legally adults!
Are you suggesting that in the Wizarding World people initiate sexual activity when they are legally adults? I'm not sure I understand.
I do agree that the kids could be having sex, that the obstacles are not such as to stop them. And, truly, if they wanted to stop them one would think they'd have some spell to do so, not rely on parietal rules. Some sort of erection-cancelling charm or some such.
No, I ment that as they are legally adults, there would be no way to stop them from doing what they damn well pleased. As long as they were reasonably discreet, and didn't make out in public. ;-)

This is completely false. Have you never heard of a code of conduct?
Many schools, clubs, or other organizations have code of conduct, with penalties for violation. For example, I attended a College, where possession of alcohol (on campus) would get you disciplinary action. Didn't matter if you were of legal drinking age or not. It was simply one of the rules in their code of conduct.
Hogwarts could quite easily have an extensive code of conduct, and other rules and policies. In fact, as a boarding school, it would have to have pretty comprhensive rules.
Now, possibly adult students could legally get a room in Hogsmeade during a Hogsmeade weekend. But I wouldn't count on it.
The general Code of Conduct in the Wizarding world seem to be "Do what you please as long as you can get away with it".
But you might be right, there might be rules against students having sex - or drinking alcohol. Not that such rules ever have stopped anyone from doing it. What *really* would be working is the other students disagreeing with such behaviour, peer pressure is usually very efficient!

Yes, there are certainly humorous possibilities - well, humorous for the reader, not the kids.
Yes *that's* something I certainly can agree with! I would rather be caught by a teacher that by Peeves, that's for sure. Rather a detention than having Peeves telling the whole school.
Whatever Ginny and Harry did together, they didn't do in the Prefects bathroom, that's for sure... (As a Quidditch Captain, Harry did have access). I do hope Harry at least told Ron about Myrtles peeping habits. But I wonder if any other student knows about her!
