How many metros and subways have you traveled on?

Got at b3co.com!

I'm not very well traveled but I tend to use public transit when I go anywhere, so the number is high for someone who has never been to continental Europe, for example.

I'm not, really! I've been to India once and Israel twice (once on a teen tour the summer I was 15 and once in 1985). I'm a dual US/Canadian citizen but I've been to a little more than half of the United States and only three of the Canadian provinces. I've never been on the continent of Europe except to change planes, although I spent a fair amount of time in the Anglo-Celtic Isles when I was working for an international bank that had affiliates in London and Dublin. I've been to Mexico once and nowhere in Central or South America. I've never been to a Caribbean island or anywhere in the Middle East except Israel. I've never been to Africa. My only trip to Asia was 2 days each in Tokyo and Singapore, inspecting data centers. And I'm 50 years old, so I've had plenty of time to rack up travel experience. And I *love* to travel, so it seems pretty paltry to me.

By contrast, my 17-year-old son has already been to:

20 US states
2 Canadian provinces
Costa Rica
The Bahamas
London

and my 13-year-old daughter has been to

18 US states
2 Canadian provinces
France

I'd be surprised if they don't have more countries they've visited than I do by the time they're in their mid-twenties!
