1. Yes, you're right. There's no reason to either discount fanfic or idolize published fic. A related concept is how writing fanfic changes how I read fiction, wherever I find it. It's not because of it being fanfic, but because of it being fiction. I never wrote fiction before, and I find I relate to fiction differently now that I am both a producer and a consumer.

2. I am happy to influence you - or some unmentioned gay man - positively in any aspect of life.

I was actually very productive at work today! I am the Queen of Multitasking. Worship Me!
