Ha! Quebecois! That makes sense, sorry for speaking out of turn ^^
"Copain" is also used in French for not very intimate friends, it's just not used to address to them. I can also have he meaning of boyfriend, in certain context ^^
Oh, you're coming over? Hope you enjoy the trip! I hope youll still get this (uncanny and freaky) warm weather we're having right now ^^

Not speaking out of turn at all! I'm glad of the input.
I would love freakily warm weather while we're there, but I'm sure I'll have a great time regardless. My lover and elder daughter are the Old France Hands :-) but it's the first trip to France for my younger daughter Zara (in the icon) and me. And for Zara it's her first time out of North America, so particularly exciting!

Woot! I'm glad you had fun (was the Anthropoide French too?) XD

Actually she was Indian :-)! Naturalized, presumably. That picture was taken a looooonnnnnngggg time ago at the Delhi Zoo. We were there at closing time and my spouse was trying to get a picture of the baby orangutan as they moved her to the night cage. Her keeper asked if we'd like to have a picture of me with her. I stood next to her and held her hand, but then she put her arms up asking to be picked up - just like a human baby!
I wrote a story once about a mutant baby orangutan. Of course the mutant powers stuff was fantasy, but the part where Logan holds the animal was 100% BTDT Write What You Know.
And here's a capybara - I've never held one but I have petted one...
