2007 mofic Year in Review
The first post of each month, excerpted:

January: Past and to Come. An X1 time line story series. Alex joins the X-Men and it’s a bumpy ride. Jean-Paul and Adam adjust to changes in their relationship; Scott and Logan adjust to Scott’s new responsibilities; everyone is trying to adjust to the loss of Charles Xavier.

February: Comment on the Senate Chaplain attending a conference inappropriate for his position. He didn't realize it wasn't a "nonpolitical, nonpartisan, and nonsectarian" event? I'd think the name ("Reclaiming America for Christ") of the conference would have been a good clue.

March: A Tell Me About You Meme. If you didn't comment, I still want to at least know if you can do the Macarena.

April: Gay Parenting 101: Don't Children Need Opposite Sex Role Models? Basically, no.

May: Happy Birthday to My Brother Joel. When we were kids in ND, where May Day was a big deal, I thought it wasn't fair that he got to have his birthday on a holiday and mine was just a regular day.

June: Nothing.

July: The first post is f-locked and explains why I dropped out. The first public post is My father died this morning.
I walked out with him when the class was over and said I thought he'd done so well. It was one of the few times I saw my father cry. He said, "I was so worried you'd be embarrased by me."

August: Zara at Camp . She had a great time - even when cleaning latrines.

September:Seven Quirks for Seven Friends "Dale! You're over 30 years old. You've never been to the movies before?"

October: Book Meme. Generally, when I can't stand a book I don't finish it, so there's only one struck out. Of those in plain type, there are some I too have been meaning to read, some I have no interest in, and some I never heard of.

November: My New Word of the Day. The early Israelites were not monotheists, they were monolatrists.

December: Birthday Wishes (mistakenly a day early) to my sister-in-law.

It's been an annus horribilus, as mentioned elsewhere, but it had its moments.

I hope 2008 will be much kinder to you.

I don't go in for those long memes much, but I do know how to Macarena -- and I love it! I wish I had more opportunities in life to do it. ;) Also, it should be noted that you can dance the Macarena to a wide variety of songs. One of my fondest sci-fi convention memories is of a large group of fellow fen joining me for a group Macarena dance to the tune of the Imperial March (aka Darth Vader's theme song). You'd be amazed how well that works! ;)

Thanks for the kind wishes and I am already amazed that anyone even attempted to do the Macarena to the Imperial March!
